Alternator Harness
Had problem also with the fan plug and finally forced off but needed tie wrap to hold on reinstall. Don't like these Bosch electrical connectors. Help |

bogrady.....ALL connectors have a positive locking snap. You must "release" the latch before the connector will release. Some are very difficult and may require a small blade screw drive or other pick to get the latch over the hook AT the same time trying to pull the connector off. I too have problems with them, as you can never seem to find the release lever and when you do, it is very hard to squeeze. Need a 3rd hand sometimes.

Oops I may have lost one of the two pins in plug to alternator getting it off.
Does field circuit need both pins ? Where can I get new plug. harness? On old cars I never had so much trouble replacing anything but there was not so many cheap plastic parts , sensors and computeres. Engine performance is great however and it avoids old time carburetor and timing adjustments I was surprised to see no dist coil but rater a separate coil on each plug. Seldom see black or blue smoke from cars anymore |

BMW has had coil over plug since the early 90's hahah
