Stuck tappet

Hello everyone,
just wanted to share my experience with X3 owners.
At 110.000 kilometres (approx. 66.000 miles) i noticed a quite loud metal noise from the engine bay.BMW specialist said is a stuck tappet, one out of the 24 that the 2.5si(2007 model) has.He suggested and i did i switch oil from 5w30 to 0w30 and to rev the engine up to 4000.the noise was gone, the tappet was unstuck.A year later (previous week) the noise came back.I again reved the engine for a short duration to 4000 and problem solved.Today i visited as recommened the bmw workshop for a change of oil and filter. This time bmw specialist used the castrol 5w 30 edge (titanium technology, previously was the Q8 oil 0w30) and said i must rechange oil after 2 to 3000 kilometres.Otherwise,he must change all 24 tappets on the gasket with a total cost to 2.500 euros(2400$).Right now the car has 120.500 kilometres.
