Vanos code

Hi to everyone! First time poster here!

My car is a 2007 e83 2.5si (n52) with about 50000kms. It's been thowing a code 2a82 since the day i got it. I already replaced both vanos solenoids, swapped the cps and vanos filters, checked the oil filter cap for the insert (no problem) and replaced the vanos adjustment unit on the intake side. It's still throwing the same code. The indy shop i bring my car to for repairs even ran an intake vanos test using his diagnostic software with the result as follows:

Expected: 120.8 degrees
Actual: 121.2 degrees

The car idles and runs smoothly. The only thing odd i notice is that when i start it up (when already hot) the idle surges once to 1000 rpm the goes back down quickly to about 700rpm. Other than that the car is fine. Any ideas on what to check next?

Appreciate any inputs. Thank you in advance!
