2007 X3 Navigation Upgrade

I have seen some information on upgrading my 2007 X3's navigation system but most of it isn't real clear to me. My existing DVD is North America 2006.2 and also has a number near the bottom (S0001-0070-602). Can this system be upgraded at a reasonable cost> If so can someone help me accomplish this. The vehicle was purchased new in the US but is now in New Brunswick, Canada.
Thanks for any help.

Saw your post. I did a nav upgrade about 2 years ago. Just want to let you know you are probably going to have to go aftermarket. Most websites like eBay and Alibaba have 7" Touchscreen Nav systems from China that upgrade a non-navigation BMW (such as a base model with regular radio with no navigation screen) and it will add the navigation screen through the factory radio wiring harness. (so you can keep the original factory radio)

However, since you already have a factory navigation system, you may have a different result in that type of setup, as you have a different wiring harness. You will probably need to check with BMW if they can update your SOFTWARE, but if you get a whole new unit make sure you buy an Aftermarket touch screen that is specifically built for a BMW that already has the Navigation style radio unit, to make sure you get the correct harness.
Hope that Helps!
