E83 3.0 Si wouldnt start

as of today , when i try to start the engine , the dashboard lights come on , but the starter doesnt work. i hear no klicking noise of the starter switch. the batterie is pretty good, an external starter pack doesnt help.
it sounds like the starter or starter switch , but i want to make sure .
how can i measure if the starter signal reaches the starter ? the starter is difficult si access below the intakepack.
is there a fuse for the starter and if so where is it, or is there a relay fror the starter somewhere ?

Start with a fully charged battery then as a bonus change the ground straps...

thanks, the magnet switch of the starter was defect, i had to exchange the startermotor
