RPMs at Speed?

I just picked up a 2010 with a 6 speed automatic. The RPMs are +/- 3000 at 80 MPH. Is that about right? That’s about the same as my ‘05 with the 5 speed auto.

Yup! Sounds about right.

Figure what your final drive ratio is--then you'll have your answer.

More speeds on a transmission doesn't always correlate to a lower engine speed in top gear.
