Fasten seat belt alarm

While driving away from the grocery store (and buckled up).the alarm goes off with the light on the dash. I unbuckle my belt so that the restraint system can regroup. It does and I re-buckle and the alarm sounds off again.
Rarely, if ever do I ever place the groceries in the front passenger seat.
This time I did.
I moved the bag to the floor.
Seat belt alarm goes away for the remainder of the drive home.
20 years old car still performing its duties!

Yup. Mine does that too. The front passenger seat is calibrated with weight to "sense" if there is a potential occupant.

Thanks for the reply.
