Has anyone ever had this problem?

I just noticed this the other day in my X3. The cup holder in the center console and the back of the console by the ashtray facing the backseats is peeling. There is a rubber type material that goes over the plastic and it is peeling off. You think this would be covered under warranty? I doubt it, but I thought I would ask.

Same problem happened with my center cup holder. It's under warranty, my dealer replaced it.

same with me i even made the change the button on the dash storage bin

Yup... mine is doing that too. I just thought it was from my 6 year old's rain boots...

My wife's '04 has the same problem-on the rear of the console as well as the cupholder.
