Seems like every car out on the road has full LED tail lights now a days. Why is BMW so behind? Even their new E90 doesn't have LED tail lights.

Not very many cars really have them, If you notice its really only japanese car companies that have them (Nissan, Infiniti, Toyota, Lexus, Acura)

The outgoing E46 had them. It seems BMW is waiting to deck-out the initial E90 model series. It's always an incremental thing. Perhaps we'll see the return of LEDs when the 335i (bi-turbo) arrives. Then the current E90 325i/330i owners will lust for the after-market (and OEM) LEDs. Muhaha

On the 3er, only the coupes have them...not the sedans. Another distinguishing feature...
