X3 in the snow

We drove up last weekend to Lake Tahoe, CA for some ski action. Plenty of snow and perfect conditions to test the all weather capability of the X3. The X3 passed with flying colors even in sub-standard road conditions. Typical BMW handling and a silky smooth 6 made the driving experience exceptional. Seat heaters were a blessing; however, I don't have a heated steering wheel (Sport package) so my hands were a bit cold on the morning start. I did not see any X3s (a number of X5s though) during our trip - that's ok I like it that way. Some pics for your enjoyment.

Nice

So the summer tires held up well? Did you need chains?

Mine came with Bridgestone Turanza All Seasons. I did not have to use chains (never felt I needed to) but I brought a set just in case they were mandatory. I heard when it is R3 (chains on 4wd in CA) that the roads are usually closed anyways. Cheers.

Nice pics. Glad to hear the X3 did well in the snow. I love driving the X3 in adverse conditions; more fun than when it is sunny and warm outside IMO.

+1 on that. Too bad we live in California.
