Question X3 Parking Sensor

Anyone using it? Is it good? I was quoted $2200 AUD fitted for the front & rear sensor......Fair price?

What about 3rd party sensors? Any good ones?

I have them as well and they're very useful. Only thing is the beep is quite loud, shame theres no volume on the thing but you can disactivate it with a button if its bothering you.

That is true, and the sound is not too nice. It reminds me of the good old PC beep. Like if you fall on your keyboard and keep the buttons pressed long enough.

But for sure it helps manouvering. Another thing to notice is that it activates automatically when you change to reverse. If you want to use the front sensors when driving / parking forward it has to be activated manually (where is the steering wheel button for it?).

BTW, does anyone know the location of the speakers?

I am not sure whether I should go back to the dealer for the original or just get a 3rd party sensor with a little LCD screen.

Go get them.

They are working incredible. You can park the car with no fear...
It's also good in the crowded streets.

Mine are active auto in reverse or by request (button)

I'm very happy with my PDC... I got the aero body kit, and a little scratch can be very visable as compare to the origianl black hard plastic bumper... the PDC helps a lot.

Once engage in Reverse, the PDC is switched on. It will be switched off automaticlly when you switch off the engine, or drive away. Or, you can switch off manually with the switch in front of the shift stick (no steering wheel button for it, as mentioned above.

Hope this helps.
