My X3 is a 2004 and I have never had that problem. I can only imagine how pissed-off you must be.

We've had no problems at all with my wife's X3. She takes her car through one of those touchless car washes often... no leaks at all.

There were problems reported on 2004 models that the drain tube for the panorama roof was getting kinked during assembly causing it to leak. Might get yours checked or replaced. There is a service bulletin out about this.

when i took it into the dealer they told me they changed the carousel or something like that but didnt mention anything about the drain tube. maybe i will tell the service guy that. It worries me that water lands on the fabric of the roof and it might weakin it. This truck is driving me crazy.

I tried searching for threads about this problem (which I know I've read about) here and at another forum but haven't turned up anything. It was about 2004 models and I know there is a service bulletin out about the problem. Your dealer should be able to look it up. Also the fix should be free. I wouldn't be surprised if it was the drain tube. Best of luck to you,
