Question Euro towhitch kit - seeking wiring advice

Hi

I'm about to begin the retrofit of a UK BMW official tow-hitch kit to my 2006 X3. The hardware side of this is fine and straightforward but the electrical install is complex, requiring routing of control and power lines forward to the light module and the fuse box (this is a 13-pin Euro socket and differs from the US 7-pin harness).

Instuctions are detailed for physical installation of the hitch but do not clearly explain how to route the wires back to the fuse box. I intend to follow the main wiring harness down right side door entrance strups to the dash area.

My question is how to best route cables from driver footwell area (light module) behind CD/Radio to fuse box area? Has anyone done this for other retrofits? I expect to remove the glovebox but would prefer not to have to remove the central console as well.

Note this is a standard BMW retrofit for Euorpean X3's but one I'd prefer to do myself to keep costs down (dealers expect £1000+ for 6+ hour job !)

Appreciate your help and thoughts

Thanks
