BMW X3 CD Player

I just got my X3 3.0d Sport, and am chuffed to bits. I really don't see what anyone says about the quality, it's as good as my old E46 325SE any day.

About the CD. I got the full NAV/TV and 6-CD changer. It's great, as it plays MP3 and WMAs but does anyone know how to get the display to show the name of the track (after all, as WMAs all the track info is recorded with them!)

Thanks
Mark

As far as I know, it won't display the tracks, just the number of the track.

Then I guess the Sisters of Mercy and Faith no More have changed their gender since I last listened to them... strange.

Basically, it does identify the track and artist if you put the WMA in the single CD player in the dash with the nav controls. If you put it in the changer, can play 'em but not read the text.

Hang on - should point out - if you read the thread at the top: I have the full TV/Nav package. The display is on the TV - NOT the cd unit

Today I brought in my 2004 X3 in for service [needed the front driver headlight fixed] and I told them about the CD not ejecting all the time. The darn thing got stuck once and it took me forever to get out.

Any ways... they told me on the phone that they replaced the head unit with a new one. What is the chances it was replaced with a unit that will play WMA/MP3 CDs? I know the old one did not.. also I am hoping this new unit sets me up for a CD Changer.

I have Nav with .28 version.

No, service manager told me directly that they installed a *new* radio. Also, when I was talking to the Salesman about getting a extended warrenty that they do not install refurbished parts... odd,
