Happy for you and glad to know BMW-USA stepped up and stands behind their products and faults.... They had no alternative not to do so anyway!
Enjoy the new ride.

It wasn't easy trying to get them to step up. I was getting ready to get lawyers invovled but finally they decided to come through.

I glad they did and it does show me that they do stand behind their product because at the beginning of this whole ordeal...it seemed like they didn't.

BigO1120: It's too bad they couldn't cure the airbag problem, but it sounds like they made you whole by buying back the X3. Your 328xi sounds sweet!

XX3: Where do you get the full-detail SIB's? The only ones I can find are usually tied to some pay-subscription service. Thanks.

xx3...Everything that's stated in that document has been done to my X3 and it is still not working. My dealership (JMK BMW in Springfield, NJ) is waiting for the Substitution of Colateral papers from my bank to finish the trade process. I should have my new 3 sometime this week or by the end of the week.

Just this past weekend my wife and I went into NYC for dinner and it's been the first time in 2 weeks or so that she has sat in the passenger seat and low and behold...the airbag light came on without fail.

I know, thats why I posted them... Even though BMW thinks there is an apparent fix, your car is living proof that there is none...

It appalls me, and I wonder if they will be able to fix my car...

If they don't...now you know what the possible outcome might be.
