Thumbs up Finally!

What’s up everyone!?!?

Just wanted to give you all a BIG update as to what has happened, what is happening, and what will happen with my X3. Where to start?!?!

Well, BMWNA has come back to me stating that they have done all that they could to resolve the problem with my X3. As you all know…the problem is still happening.

The manager of the dealership has finally contacted to let me know that they are going to buy me out of the truck and get me into a new ’06 BMW. That’s right! You read correctly…

The dealership finally came to the conclusion that this truck is unsafe and they made the decision to buy me out of the truck and get me itno a new ’06 BMW. I have to drive into the dealership because they have to see what the value is of my truck and not only that but we’re going to work something out in where I’m not going to be stuck paying off another BMW for another 5 years. I’m financing the truck for 5 years and I’ve had the truck for 2 ½ years.

The only problem I have is…should I stick with another X3 (which I love) or should I go for a 328xi? Any ideas?

And thanks to everyone for their help and advice! I greatly appreciate it!

I respect and admire your patience through all this!

Personally I would not get the first 6 months of any new model from any manufacturer, BMW included. If I was in your shoes and you are otherwise happy with the X3, get another one.

FWIW I had my seat mat replaced and it seems to have resolved my issue. My situation was different though...I had no airbag light just the telltale.

Good luck!

I don't think I'm going with an X3 this time. I'm leaning towards the 328xi. My wife has an SUV so I figure I could get the sedan.

If I were in your situation, I'd go for the 335xi (once it's out).

Well here's the thing...the dealership is only giving me '06 models. At one point I was considering an X5 because the new '07 models were coming out and the '06 models were going to be cheap. Then I though about it some more and said "NAH". I don't think I want a truck anymore but I still want AWD capabilities. I think the 328xi is the way to go for me.

I can't go to the dealership during the week because of my job. I'm scheduling for next weekend to go so you know I'll keep you guys posted as to what goes down.

In case if some of you were wondering...the light still comes on from time to time.

Check back with you all!

PEACE!

The Battle Has Begun!

Now I'm going toe-to-toe with the dealership! They're telling me that I have to now pay more money for the new replacement that they're giving me (328xi). Of course I told them that this is something I cannot and will not do. BMWNA has been contacted again and they are involved to see what they can do for me again. I even told them that if getting into a sedan is problem then I have no problems getting into another X3.

I'm a pain in the a$$ to these people but I'm not paying any more then what I am right now for a product that is defective.

More updates to come!

It's Official!!!!

Well…this will probably be one of my last posts as an X3 owner. The deal finally went through between BMWNA and myself. After much debate and complaining BMWNA has finally decided to give me a new auto for the same exact price that I paid for my 2004 X3. That means my monthly payments will remain the same, I have a brand new 4 year warranty with my new auto the moment I drive it off the lot, and I have 2 years to pay it off (I financed the auto). Here is information on what I’m getting in replace of my X3:

2007 BMW 328xi
Montego Blue
Black Leather Interior
Xenon Adaptive Headlights
Premium Package
Cold Weather Package
Sports Package
17” Star Spoke (Styling 159) Alloy Wheels
BMW Assist w/ Bluetooth

Everything should finalize this week with paperwork and transfer of information. I should have my 328xi by the end of this week.

I so happy that this entire ordeal has finally come to a close. For a minute I though BMWNA wasn’t going to pull through but they finally did and actually took care of their customer. It was a rough experience but I learned a lot from it.

I really hope this forum was helpful for some and I really appreciate all the advice! My next forum will be on my 328xi!

Thanks Everyone!
