Manual Tranny Help

Lately, I've been feeling the clutch slip a bit after shifting into gear. This only happens in 1st, 2nd and 3rd gear and occurs only during acceleration in low RPMS (around 2k).

0-before 2k rpm : acceleration as normal
aroudn 2k rpm: a split second loss of power. feels like if the clutch slips.
2k & up rpm: acceleration as normal

I'm not sure if this is due to the clutch slipping or other mechanical parts. Any ideas what it could be? I have 38000 miles on the car.

It does not sound like a clutch... that would cause the RPM's to rise, not feel like a loss of power. And it probably would not happen in that RPM range.

Sounds like you might have a little miss maybe. Try resetting the e-throttle...

car off. turn the key on (but don't start) for 3 seconds. key off. start the car and drive very aggressively for a few minutes.

You're right. If the clutch slips, the rpm should spike real quick and return. If I remember correctly, the rpm actually stops or drop a little during the acceleration. I'll give the e-throttle reset a try. I just don't have time to stop by the dealer right now. Thats for the advice guys.

Ok, tried the e-throttle reset. Didn't work. You turn it to position #2 for 3 seconds right?

Should be position 3 (just before it starts).

Do you have any check engine lights? What fuel are you running?

No lights of any kind. Using 91 oct. It's weird because it only happens around 2k rpm on 1st, 2nd and 3rd gear. If I drive aggresively and stay above 2k rpm, I never feel the 'slip'.

Nop, haven't gotten a chance to get it looked at yet. Also, when I'm in 1st and i'm crusing between 1000 and 1500 rpm and step on the clutch, I hear a cluck sound and the floor vibrates a little. Weird.
