Any thoughts?

Thanks,

I got a Yakima system. The BMW system is an excellent system, but not compatible with any other vehicles, so I made the choice to get a system I could keep if and when we get rid of the X. If you buy a Thule or Yakima load bar system, the cargo boxes are pretty much universally compatible so it doesn't make much difference which brand of box you buy. In the case of BMW, however, all the components specifically fit the BMW load bar system only. They're nice, but when you sell the vehicle you wave goodbye to the roof system too. The aluminum BMW load bars are also easily damaged by the clamps of non-BMW boxes.

Last Saturday an exhibit for our Neways business. Last week, bags of Cement and some lumber. The week before, 2 suitcases, a cooler and various canvas bags of stuff for our trip to CA. I haven't installed a hitch yet and see no reason to do so any time in the near future. I do really like having a BMW that can perform like a BMW and still have room enough for life. :-)

i haul my great dane around. one 120lb dog just fits in the rear cargo area, with enough room to lie down and sleep comfortably. and i occasionally carry stuff around for my husband when there's not enough room in his vehicle when we go to the track for his races each month...
