Picked up my New X3 today
So far after 40 miles no transmission problems. Though the shifting in Sport Drive mode is a little more firm, but I like that. The only thing I now wish I wouldn't have put on the car is servo stearing. I like the feel of my 06 that didn't have better. Seems like I could feel the road and what the car was doing better without it. Programmed my garage door in just a few minutes with no problems and tomorrow the DICE iPod interface goes in... I really liked my 06 but I think I'll like the new 07 even better... |

" So far after 40 miles no transmission problems".
You're kidding right? After 40 miles you didn't even burn 2 gallons of gas. We've got 37k on our 06 bought in april 06. Here's the list of things gone wrong. At 35k miles a secondary air pump sent an error to the obd and the "service engine soon" light came on. the light turned off a few days ago, a self healing car perhaps. At 15k miles I had new software for the Automatic installed. This is still the stupidest transmission I've ever had in a BMW. Would I buy another, yes but only if BMW could figure out a way for us to flat tow 4 down behind our motorhome. Now that would be sweet!!

through the sleep mode in the software. They put in a new "air flow sensor", problem solved. Also had a nail thru the side wall of the tire, new tire $ 262.15. 12,000 + miles and no transmission problems/ cheers vern

Happy New X3 Day! Get those pics up soon!
That's a funny thing you said about the Servotronic steering. Servo is supposed to give a better feel for the road. I have it and love it. All the X3's I test drove didn't have it and I like it much better. Perhaps it's just a personal preference for the way each feels.
