The Official WestFest IV Information Thread

First off thank you all for your patience. It is has been a very long time since the discussion about a West Coast meet came up but the wait will be worth it. Putting these events on are not easy and trying to please everyone is very difficult so I apologize in advance if anyone cannot make it. I'd love to have everyone out but that's not realistic. I am very excited about the event and the level of enthusiasm for it. So here it is:

WestFest IV will be held on Saturday, October 28, 2006 at the Empire Polo Club in Indio, California. Indio is in the Palm Springs area which is about 2 hours by car from Los Angeles. More details as far as location, times, local amenities, etc will be provided later. I just wanted to get the official date and location out so you can start planning.

This event will be amazing. We had an incredible turnout at WestFest III with about 25 X5's making the trip out. This time I am hoping for even more X5's and with the inclusion of X3's, we will have an impressive showing. This is an opportunity to really meet the people you've been "meeting" here, put faces with names, see some cool BMW's, and late October in the Palm Springs area is the perfect time for a weekend getaway.

Crevier BMW is our main sponsor and they are generously providing catered food, door prizes, and awesome raffle prizes. Their Parts Department Team will be there to meet everyone. They really enjoy these events and enjoy just hanging out with fellow BMW enthusiasts. It is through the generosity and enthusiasm of Crevier that we can have this meet. They sponsored the previous WestFests and have been with us for a long time. They are truly an old friend.

Tom G. from EAS is also helping me make this event a reality. He will be in attendance with his demo X5 and M3 to show off the latest and greatest products from EAS. He's got some hot new products and you will not be disappointed. He's been a good friend to us here at X5world and the answer man on iPod and video-in-motion issues. He might even have some products there for sale so you can go home with some extra goodies.

Invision Industries has also helped make this event possible. They are the manufacturers of those trick headrest monitors that we all want and many members here have. Lawrence (aceduecy) has been on X5world and has become one of the gang as well as providing support and information, not to mention offering some special deals for us. Lawrence might be able to make it out to California from Florida but either way, we'll have the latest brochures and information from Invision. He's been very supportive of us and he and his company are continuing to develop that relationship with us.

I will be providing additional details and more more information about the venue, the area, and local amenities. I am planning on having a website up soon. I am also going to set up a dedicated e-mail address for questions and RSVP's. (Note: You must RSVP so that we have an accurate head count for food and other stuff. A post will come later with that address.) Please stay tuned but for now, you've got the date and the place so get planning!

EDIT: The e-mail addresss for WestFest IV is westfest4_@_gmail._c_o_m. (Remove underscores). e-mail to RSVP with the number attending including yourself and e-mail with questions.

Please go the the X5/X3 World Meets Forums for the main version of this thread.

Kool & the Gang- I'm 90% probable to make it. Looking at hotels now- appreciate it if you can post info on accomodations soon as you can. Will there be an "official" hotel, etc.
