Anyone know if the 2006 X3 LCM has been changed into reprogrammable version like some time ago in X5? I know it was not programmatically possible to change the logic at least in the earlier years. Where is LCM located in X3? I am afraid I need to study the pinouts and reorganize the wires a bit... - p |

when you say "need", what do you mean? Do you have a US spec x3 that you are trying to convert to a euro spec?

Exactly. I exported one from Canada to Europe and now need to make it street legal from lighting perspective. Conversions required are at least addition of rear fog lamp, addition of white front parking lights, and turning off yellow DOT parking lights and make the turn signal function as just turning light.
I got some instructions how to make these changes in E46 without changing the LCM and playing with the wires. So far I know that in E46 the LCM is right behind the light switch, in X5 it is in the right passenger side footwell. Any ideas where it might be located in X3? - p |
