Well my X3 visited the all-time alignment guru, Darin at West End Alignment in Gardena, CA. Not surprisingly this was the first X3 he has ever aligned for auto-x (huh...go figure...). We ended-up with:
Front - .3 degrees negative camber (the max the car would give) with 1/16" toe out.
Rear - 1.6 degrees negative camber with 1/32" toe out. Originally it had almost 2 degrees negative camber in back but we decided to go with less in hopes the car would rotate better.
This guy is truly amazing - no computer equipment whatsoever. He does his work with a tape measure and large protractor. This car has never tracked so straight nor felt so settled. I can't wait to get it on track!!!
Now the CAI goes in tomorrow. More reports to follow. As I promised on a different board I will do a full photo write-up of the CAI install.
