Yup, Just got my car back during lunch. Runs like a champ. Got 43k miles on her now. And it was the fuel pump.

Did you ever run out of gas? Unless they have changed the materials they use in their fuel pumps over the years, running dry in a BMW is a sure fire way to toast your fuel pump. I've wrecked three of them in the past, and the only reason the car still ran was because a secondary fuel pump down by the tank continued to operate while the one by the engine was toast.

I never ran out of gas, but sometimes I do drain the tank near empty before I fill her up.
