So my X3 loss power

I was in 3rd gear and all of a suden I lost power. I hit the gas and all the car did was sruggle. Went down to 2nd gear and all was well. Same with 1st gear. But once I drop it in 3rd, the car will not go over 3k rpm. Same goes w/ 4th-6th gear. It was like there was a speed limiter at 45 mph. I had to pull over on the fwy and wait for a flatback. Car is at the dealership right now. Will up date when I find out what is up. I have a 6pd manual. Very strange.

Update: they say it might be a bad fuel pump but they don't know for certain.

What dealer is it at? Not all in So Cal are created equal...

It sounded more like a computer glitch to me...

So Irvine BMW confirmed that it was the fuel pump. They ordered the part and will replace it tomorrow. I guess we'll see tomorrow if they are right.

Irvine BMW don't have loaner cars but they always give me a rental (free of charge) . This time I got a Camery, boy do I miss my BMW. The handling and control feedback sucks big time. I don't know how people can drive these cars. Its so wishy washy (like the guy from the VW commercial would say, hahahaha ). I also miss my seat warmers in the morning

I use to go to McKenna BMW and they always gave me loaners. Down side is loaners are by appointment only and usually its booked for 1 month in advanced. So if you have any unplanned dealership visits, you will be left car-less. This is kinda why I like Irvine BMW. No BMW loaners but you will always get a rental. FYI: The reason why I go to Irvine BMW now is because I no longer live close to McKenna BMW not because the service is bad or anything.

I also heard Crevier BMW have awsome service but Irvine BMW is down the street from my work.
