Computer, clock reset?

When I started up the X3 this morning, the clock, trip mileage, and all computer functions were reset (the clock was reading --:-- ). Has anyone experience this? The radio presets were ok, otherwise I'd think it was a faulty battery.

Is it possible that I reset all of these while washing the X3 this weekend?

Thanks.

drex has disabled reputation
highly unlikely.

its impossible to reset anything just by washing (unless you immersed the x3 underwater!)....

there must be some intermittent battery connection problem or quite possibly some acute current drain that stopped.

do you have any after market accessories that draw power independently on your X3? if it happens again, have the dealer check for computer faults and the battery for charge capacity....

Thanks for the replies, I'll add this to my list of minor items to have the dealer check out (moonroof noise, etc). No, I don't have any aftermarket parts or upgraded electronics. This has only happened the one time in the 2+ months I've had the X3.
