I seem to remember there are some early Mk4's that were intended for TravelPro type radio satnavs rather than full screen displays. I think these may lack necessary display hardware. How old is your Mk4?
I'd reccommend reposting on the X3world nav forum - there are specialists there that can help. I think your problems are generic rather than X3 specific. It would seem that the ibus is connected and woking (screen opens when requested) but the video signals are not getting through to the screen. |

Hi it was from 2004, and my car is from 2005, I hope that there is no problem. I will investigate.
If you have any news please give information. Many thanks. |

My problem was that mk4 is coded for mono sistem. I buy resler, navcoder and recoded it to color and works.

Nice install David saves a few quid from the stealers. Does anyone have any idea where the GPS antenna is on a X3 2005 OE sat nav. I believe its somewhere under the front dash but cant find it any help much appreciated.

Hi, if nav system is a retrofit, it should be under dash, behind instruments cluster. In my case I put it under rear door. If it becomes with car it is under shark antenna.

It is a original equipment fit so presumably is under the fin. How do I get to it if i need to replace it ?

I think the OE sat nav antenna is under the shark fin with the radio and GSM mobile antenna. I guess you'd need to remove the interior lining to get to it - the actual fin will be glued and sealed to the outside of the roof.
I'd fit a replacement under the dash following the retrofit intructions. |
