2007 Xenon Light Retro Fit Kit?

Hi, new here, I just purchased a 2007 X3, but it was premade and not from my order. I would like to swap out the halogen bulb case for a xenon lighting.

I did a search, like everywhere, but nothing specific like instructions or costs, etc. Did anyone do this on their X3?

Can service centers actually install this?

Im not interested in the adaptive lighting or bi xenon, just lighting.

thanks for the info if any.

My dealer (in Sweden) told me that it is not financially sain to do so. I was quoted a price of 4000 USD for a change. As an option it is 1000 USD in Sweden.

It is not so difficult to change the lights from halogen into XENON.
It needs some skillness and about 6 to 7 hours work.

Price in Germany:

about 250 Euro as you can see below:

if you do it legally for use in the US, then its $$$$$$$.

They are, however, OEM Euros on ebay for $1895.
+ installation and they may or may not need more parks.
ouch.

If all you want is Xenon lighting with almost the same color as the factory H.I.D. lamps, then, like xnsf said, all you need to do is buy a pair of Xenon bulbs and swap them for the halogens (roughly $50 or less/pair). If you want to change to H.I.D.'s, that's a completely different (and expensive) story. I recommend you try changing the standard halogen bulbs to Xenon charged bulbs first (Sylvania/Osram SilverStars, for example) and see if you're happy with the difference before you think about sinking a small fortune into H.I.D.'s. I have Xenon replacement bulbs in one of my cars and they make a huge difference from the stock halogens.

There are four or five pages of excellent background information on H.I.D. lighting and retrofits at this website
