New owner here...new to forums as well!
But...off the lot. Had 32 miles, the moonroof is freaking out and it has a ding in the left rear door that I noticed today. And it needs a detail. I live in Chico CA and have been working with Courtesy Motors. I was EXTREMELY pleased with the level of service and attention I received. Hopefully on Monday their service department will prove to be just as good as their sales department. Anyway, I just wanted to say hi and will be lurking around here for a while, I'm sure...

Welcome and congrats on the X3 ownership! Even with a few problems, you sound excited - as you should be! My X3 is the best hadling BMW I've owned (it's the 6th out of 7 - and not my last!) - though I'm kind of kicking myself for not getting the 3.0 - not that the 2.5 is a slouch, but more is always better. Can't wait to see the pics. I was considering a red X3 in a year or two . . . pics may help me decide and your pkg selection sounds similar to what I would look for!

try this
push the moonroof button UP (not open or close ) point your finger staight up, hold it in for at least 30 seconds this will retrain the moonroof, it needs to be retrained every time the battery is unhooked ( pretty much everytime you have it serviced, your dealer should have done it ) here's a like with more detail http://www.bimmerfest.com/forums/showthread.php?t=83501
