Congratulations!

Did this mod myself over Easter - VERY time consuming!

I am sure you will agree the result in worth it!

r207 - see my PM

Check out the Radio Service Mode article under the nav area on xoutpost.com - there are country specific settings that you might want to set up for Aus.

Glad its working ok now - seems to take a few miniutes for the various modules to complete handshaking and to correctly determine what is and isn't installed. I initially had a greyed out TV menu option (I didn't fit the TV unit) but this disappeared after a few minutes of driving, presumably the Mk4 computer timed out waiting for a response from the video unit.

Luke - you think nav's time consuming - try fitting the official BMW european tow bar retrofit with new power feed from the fuse box - this took me 20+ hours despite writing a Microsoft project plan to help me remember all the steps when putting it back together !

What version of the OS is the nav running ? Should show something like 4/1-80 for v28 in the set-up screen?

Is the map disk an offiicial BMW dvd or a backup - what version is it? Is it a HIGH version for iBus (X3, old X5 etc) cars or a Professional (for I-drive) ?
This is a common problem - lots of info here in the nav forum to help you solve this. Try posting the nav forum rather than the X3 forum
