Sport Springs and Regular springs ???

I have 05' X3 w/ sport EVERYTHING (incl: exhaust and springs). I know it's more firm than non-sport springs but what u need to know if there's any "height" difference between the sport and non-sport springs? If there isn't I was thinking of lowering it w/ H&R sport springs the lowers it 1.6 front /1.5 Rear. Need your opinion.

I would like to know the answer too. My mom has an 06 X3 3.0 with the Sport Package also and the wheel gap just annoys the crap out of me.

MUGE..imo, you ride looks awesome the way it is! If you guys don't want fender gap, you shoud've gotten cars..just looks wierd on an 'SAV.' Anyway, the HR springs will be as firm or a bit firmer than your sport springs. The X5 Sport's are 30mm lower than non-sports, must be a similar deal with the X3s.

I agree with Vin....why get the X3 if you want it lowered? I am sure you can get lowering springs, but then, your struts/shocks won't be matched and you'll surely wear them out faster and have even a more firm ride.

The 3-series wagon does have the x-drive option (via xi version) and it is quite lowered.

Theres a 10mm difference between sport and non-sport suspension on the X3 (sport being lower).

I had my X3 geometry recalibrated following damage to the off-side front wing and hub and was surprised to see the ride height out by 10mm all round relative to the BMW standard. Then I remembered my X3 sport has had sport springs deleted at the factory

Yeah. I get what you're saying. But at the same time, if we got my mom a 3series wagon, we'd lower it just the same. In the end, a lowered X3 will still have more ground clearance than a lowered 3 wagon.

So are you telling me you wouldn't drive this if you got one?

Back on topic, I'm not saying I want to completely eliminate the fender gap. I just want to lower the vehicle, not slam it. I have my X5 dropped on Eibach Pro-Kit springs (roughly 1.3 all around) and it rides and looks great. Still has wheel gap, but a lot less than what it had with the stock suspension. I'm just trying to do the same for my mom's X3 since I plan on getting some wheels for it since the stock ones just don't cut it.

BTW, here is a pic of my X5.

As far as I know there is no height difference between the regular and sport springs. I questioned my sales rep on that before I bought and he said no.

Here's a shot of an '04 with the H&R springs. Looks good to me.
