Brought X3 in today

Brought the X3 in for service today, to fix the hesitation problem. They said they'll finish by to tomorrow. Meanwhile, I am driving a white '07 X3, and, ironically, this one also has the hesitation problem...give me some relief!!
I'll update you on status when I get it back.

Don't be surprised if they ask you to change Fuel Octane or Brand. My friend who has a Mini Cooper S has the hesitation and idle issue as well and Dealer adviced them to put in lower Octane gas which he didn't follow, instead switched to Shell 93 and all is good.

yay, they called, it was ready, so I got it!
There IS A SECOND SIB.
On the sheet, they say they performed :SIB 24-08-07
AND, they also said, "CHECKED DME SOFTWARE LEVEL. TECH THEN ADAPTED TRANS PER SIB 24-11-07". And now it's perfect. There is absolutly no shift lag, and gone is the jerkyness.

Glad to hear that there is a solution to the epidemic of transmission software issues. Hope it sticks!

Can't wait to drive the X3 tomorrow after a week with a rental! The 4-speed gearbox on the Chevy Impala is the single worst nightmare on that vehicle. It's geared so tall, that get this: 1st runs to 55mph. (Totally freaked me out when I tried it from a stoplight.)

lol...that is bizarre. Why was the X3 out of commision?

BTW, on the sheet they gave me it said they were able to "give customer priority loaner"..umm ok, the guy just said "here, you can take that white X3 over there" I mean seriously, they give me a car with the same problem? I saw one guy got a brand new Mini Cooper S loaner and the other got a 330i...oh well...maybe next time.

It wasn't out of commission at all. I was in San Francisco for the past week! (Pics and writeup will follow once I upload the shots)
