Centre Console Button Module

Does anyone know if the centre console switch module in the X3 can be interchanged with the X5 one? I have located one which has the heated seats switches in which I want to attempt the retrofit.

Only difference I can see is that this module also has a tailgate release button, but looking at the ETK, the diagram for the X3 also shows this and bimbles on about covering unused buttons with the blanking caps (WTF?)

I think the X3 one is shorter than the X5 ones; the X5s could have more buttons I believe.
