2006 X3 Spy Shots

Style 87 wheels on X3! Finally got rid of plastic on bumpers. Or is this the aero-kit?

I like that they are using the 4.6is wheels.

However other than that, this X3 is simply wearing the Aero kit, right? Because I don't see any styling differences otherwise...

Also with MY 2006 the X3 2.5 is discontinued. Supposed to be 2006 per autospies.
Below is the existing 2005. They are getting rid of all plastic on bumpers.

Too bad. I kind of like the plastic bumpers . . . not that the paint looks bad. I'm surprised they dropped the 2.5 as the "2.5" is now a 215hp 3.0. Love the wheels though, they look cool.

I really don't think this is the 2006 X3... it's just the Areo Kit I (I have them on my 2005 X3)

Also... the 2-piece side fender reminds me of the 2004 X3 (look at the little piece between the front wheel and front door). All 2005 X3 side fenders are 1-piece

thats actually a 2004 with an aero kit, you can tell by the 2 peice fender on the front, they changed it to one peice for 2005

Yeah, that's just the current X3 with aero kit... they had one here at my local stealer... Looks sharp, though!

I am not trying to be argumentative, just trying to get to authentic information....

Can you tell us where you got the info that the 2006 X3 will have the newer engines?

The USA BMW Dealer Bulletin X3-06-01, "Model Year 2006 Product Information" does not mention new engines, just that the 2.5i is dropped in the US and black bumpers will be replaced with body colored bumpers. In conversations with my dealer, he has confirmed there will not be any engine changes.

Greg
