Tyres for 05 X3 -2.5i

Need to change my tyres and am thinking of switching to Continental Contisport instead of 4x4 tyres as I do not do any offroad driving
Any one tried this and views will be much appreciated

Sorry, but you're not likely to get a lot of responses. Most X3s are likely still on their first set of tires. You may be better off reading reviews from the Tirerack site.

I just installed a set of Michelin Primacy MXV4 in the stock size 235/55HR17. They have a 60,000 mile projected life (treadwear of 620). They are better than the Bridgestones that our 2005 X3 3.0i came with. They are quiet and seem to handle as well as, if not better than, the Bridgestones. They aren't the cheapest tire available but aren't the most expensive either. The best price I found was at Costco.

We considered the Continental Contisporte and several other brands when we had had enough of the noisy ruff ride from the Bridgestones .

We went with Yokohama YK520's and couldn't be happier.

I put Pirelli P Zero Nero M+S tires on my wife's 2.5; after 8000 miles they are still quiet. They handle much better than the OEM Bridgestones. I found them on sale at The Tire Rack for $76 each but the price is now $96- which still isn't a bad deal.
