Ours runs on Pirelli Snowsport 210s. Perhaps not as hardcore as the Blizzaks, but there's practically no trade-off compared to the all-season tires on dry highway driving.

Tirerack has some good options.

Pirelli Scorpion Snow & Ice seem the preference.

Our new Pirelli Scorpions seem to work quite well.

Being here in Germany, the Blizzaks are really great. Eats through snow with no problems.

i've found them to be great. no problems driving cross-country last winter, or handling the northeastern ice and snow in the city and in the "mountains" heading to snowboarding in vermont and new hampshire.

they are rated highly at the tire rack, second only to another dunlop snow tire. the pirelli's are 5th in that survey...

i need 235/50-18 front and 255/45-18 rear. Don't see those sizes for the pirelli ice and snow
