"BFD" adaptive brakes which lights are they

can anyone tell me which light on the rear lights up as the adaptive brake display (hard braking), i am jaming on the brakes and nothing additional to the rear bulb lights up.

how cani test if i have it

is this from an o7/08 or 05/06 my lights do not have a bulb there????

The adaptive brake lights are also the rear foglights. If it's anything like the e90, you should be able to just buy the european switch that enables them.

i think the adaptive rears on the 08 are the fogs and on the 06 are the additional bulbs on the bottom of the indicators.....this now makes sense.

anyone with an 08 want to take a photo for me when the parkers are on??? need to see what else lights up

Brian, he has an X3 not an X5.

Good point. So he should look at an X3 Owner's Manual.

while searching old threads, I came across this one...
so if I have the Euro Switch, does the *rear fog lamp* come on during hard braking ?

RealOEM and Sylvania is incorrect for the E53 as they have it lasted as a straight 21W. The correct bulb is 21/5 Dual filament
