bmw5 is on a distinguished road
Auto wiper

I have set the wipers in auto as instructed by the manual but it wont start automatically unless i press the stick to two down(it wipes once) and then i put it to the auto position back as it was.From then it wipes automatically.What am i doing wrong?

It should say in your manual, that you cannot just leave the wiper stalk in the auto mode all the time. You need to reactivate the rain sensor by changing the wiper position, or turning the serrated dial each time you restart the vehicle. This is to prevent inadvertent wiper motion while you go thru a car wash.
