Any luck with this

I find myself in the same predicament, don't believe my car is prewired for the homelink and autodim....I think I need the new harness (which I don't belive is that expensive) but am worried about installing the new harness. Anyone gone down this road yet?

thanks
Dave

I installed the mirror using the correct harness purchased from Evan @ Tischer BMW in MD ([email protected]). Please provide your e-mail address and I'll gladly send you the factory instructions for the harness or ask Evan for them when you purchase the harness. When installing the harness, instead of going tothe fuse panel for power,as specified, I picked it up from the courtesy light feed in the overhead console. The install took all of 15 - 20 minutes.

One more question

Hi Peter, I did get the BMW instructions and was wondering, did you actually run all the new wires down behind the glove box?

If you did, how did you decifier the color codes for the wires in the BMW instructions and did you really remove the headliner..not something I would look forward to

thanks again for this help

Dave
