Hi all .

My X3 came with a tow bar already included, its a detachable oris tow bar.Troule is it sits to hi for my caravan , but can`t seem to track down a different length of hitch .I am looking at having to replace the whole bar.

I too have the factory fit Oris towbar - have only towed a trailer (big) with it, but it certainly isn't too high ..... what exactly is the issue with your towbar and caravan? I found that the ball height on mine seems perfect as the hitch appeared completely level when it was attached.

A friend has a RAV4 with a dealer-fit towbar which we both think is too low, but has to be as you can't open the rear door on the RAV otherwise. The trailer he was towing occasionally grounded on the raised jockey wheel because it was so low.

The only thing I feel is a problem is that I have the Aero kit on mine and you have to be careful when backing up and hitching to avoid whacking the hitch into the (expensive to repair) bumper.....
