x3 2005 DSP retrofit

Hello all,

Anyone have ideas about challenges with upgrading an x3 with NAV and standard stereo to a DSP system. I figure I need new speakers all around and a new amp. Based on the WDS, it looks like the connector is the same, but the pinout is changed. In addition, it is not clear how I get the extra wires to the separately amped tweeters. I can't find wiring harnesses in the WDS. I know that I would be better if with a separate after market amp and speakers, but am trying to preserve the factory experience, and want speed sensitive volume, without changing the head unit. One other question: The '05 x3 shows a different amp than later years. I found the newer one on Ebay for a good price. It looks identical, but with a different number. The wiring is unchanged, according to the WDS. Can I use this amp, do I need to recode (its from an '07 x3) or did I make a bad purchase (only $99 with shipping, the special bracket and pigtail wires). I also have yet to find the speakers. ANy ideas on how to find them? Anyone strip theirs to update to atermarket parts?
