If one of cd cartridges is slide open inside, you cannot remove whole cartridge (

Try to remove Changer and disassemble it.

The cartridge can be ejected with a thin steel rule assuming that there are no CD's actually loaded. Stick the rule down the side of the cartridge [Left hand side a bit to the rear] and flick it to the front, this should operate the release catch allowing the cartridge to pop up. It may take a few attemps to find the catch - probably wont work if the unit has CD's loaded and in the read position.

I have the same problem with a 1 year old X3 that I got last month, I can get cartridge out using this method but unit does not work even if you load it with CD's. Have not had time to take it back to dealers to get it looked at - must get it sorted soon.

Regards
