Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow !!!
Woo-Hoo !!!
I live in Western New York, and we are getting hit pretty hard with snow today. I guess we are getting what hit Arizona, Las Vegas, and Chicago yesterday. I can see my ‘05 X3 from the window at my desk, and it’s pretty much covered with snow and drifts are forming on the ground around it. I just got an e-mail that we are getting dismissed early. YEAH !!! I’m looking forward to driving home for my X3’s first real road test of AWD since I purchased her 3 months ago. I just may take the long way home (about 26 miles on a normal day) to go down the roads less traveled and see how she handles on unplowed country roads. For the last 9 years, I’ve been driving my ’99 Dakota (1 wheel drive) and it served its purpose. It is a good truck and starts every day, but I dreaded driving in snow as it can’t get out of its own way and would just spin its tire in 2” of snow. Some people don’t like snow, but I love it. My daughter and I ski/snowboard each weekend and finally having a vehicle that can handle the elements will make my life easier. Oh, this is my first official thread in this forum. I’m in lurk mode most of the time reading up on the X3 and finding new info daily. There is lots of good stuff in this forum if you search. I’ve found most everything I need to know via search so I encourage all noobies (including myself) to search, search, and then search again.
