Fixed my seat

Well though I would let all of the haters in this forum know that I did get the seat fixed.

They were giving me a hard time at the start but then I told them that it was a serious safety hazard and this caused personal injury. Minor yet but it did cause injury.

Not to mention the fact that it could have caused a serious accident if I was not on a side road.

To the poster who commented on the fact that I should have thought about turning off the seat.

Well thank you so much for the insight, the next time that I turn on my car and suddenly feel something burning my A** then I may turn them off. Or wait I do believe I did that but unfortunatly I dont have my head up my own A** like you to see that the element was burning through the leather in a matter of 3 seconds. It was RED HOT...

Anyhow I got a new element with a new seat cover top and bottom.

We're not haters. We just didn't respond positively to your plan to press a lawsuit, that is what our jokes were about.

I am sure you don't have your head up your own ass, because if you did you would have burnt your face, or at least your neck, and not your butt. But that is neither here nor there.

Glad you got it fixed.

Doesn't matter that it was a few years out of warranty, it shouldn't have caught on fire. Stopped working? Sure. But catching on fire and damaging the seat and causing injury? No. It's not like the OP hit his head on the door entering the vehicle or tripping and falling out of the vehicle. This was beyond his control. Glad you got it repaired by BMW as it should.
