Get real. The heating element burned out. It didn't burn your child so never mind imagining it did. Wait a second, it burned your parents child, so YES, YOU SHOULD FILE A LAWSUIT. If your interior light burns out, you should file a 2nd lawsuit. What if your child was trying to do her homework on the ride home and can't finish.
