keyless entry issues/Audio system
The keyless entry works everywhere I go except where I work, so far. There is a large radio tower across the road from the parking lot. Could that tower prevent the keyless entry from working? Coworkers do not have the same problem with their cars (not BMW's). Does anyone know how many speakers come with the standard audio system? I found one in each door and one under each of the front seats. What are the speaker sizes? The amp in the truck, is it a two channel or four channel amp? Thanks for any help you can provide. |

Yes, the radio tower could interfere with the keyless remote. There is a service bulletin on poor remote reception range though. At your next service, just mention that the car doesn't receive the remote signal unless you're standing right next to the vehicle, and cite poor reception range (leave out the radio tower part)
![]() As for the sound system, there is a tweeter and mid-range in each of the doors, making for 8 speakers. There are two subwoofers located under the front seats. If you wish to upgrade, the easiest way is to just replace the mediocre speakers (4", very shallow depth) and leave the sub as is. |

Thanks for the reply AzNMpower32.
Do you know what size the subs are under the seats? Does the amp in the trunk drive all the speakers or just the subs? Can the dealer boost the signal for better reception? |

Anyone know the size of the subs under the front seats? Is the amp in the trunk a 2 or 4 channel amp?
