Instrument Cluster Fading

Has anyone had a problem with the instrument clusters odometor and drive select leds fading in and out and sometime blacking out for a few seconds? BMW can not duplicate at service center.

i had the same problem, the stlr replaced the whole instrument cluster thru factory warranty

Same problem on an older 740il, dealer also replaced it under warranty. It's a common problem, hope yours is under warranty. I think a new instrument cluster is around $300 to $400.
