rbensmithX3 is on a distinguished road
Going in for service today. . .here's my list:

2005 X3, 25,000 MILES--feel free to post comments:
  • STEERING MAKES SQUEAKING NOISE WHEN TURNING THROUGH SLOW TURNS (i.e. DRIVEWAY, PARKING LOT, ETC.)
  • DRIVER SIDE WINDOW IS SOMETIMES SLOW TO RISE. IT USUALLY WILL NOT GO UP ALL THE WAY IF YOU CLOSE THE WINDOWS FROM THE OUTSIDE OF THE CAR THROUGH THE DOOR LOCK SYSTEM. IT WILL ALSO OCCASIONALLY GO DOWN WHEN IT IS DOWN HALFWAY AND YOU PULL THE SWITCH ALL THE WAY UP (TO ROLL IT UP AUTOMATICALLY).
  • BLOWER FAN IS AUDIBLE (TICKING NOISE) WHEN ACCELERATING FROM A STANDING POSITION WITH THE CLIMATE CONTROL SYSTEM RUNNING.
  • WHEN COASTING IN REVERSE (AFTER NOT DRIVING FOR AN EXTENDED PERIOD OF TIME, OVERNIGHT, ETC.), ENGINE SEEMS TO NEARLY STALL OR HESITATE—SIMILAR TO THE FEELING OF RUNNING OUT OF GASOLINE.
