So, I'm sitting at a red light, 1st in line, minding my own business, when a Saturn Vue comes flipping across the intersection!!! It lands on the car next to me(landed on the hood and totalled it) and kept coming at me. I quickly throw it in reverse(thankfully I have manual) and start backing up(no one was behind me) I backed up two feet when the Vue hit my front bumper. Scraped up my bumper a bit, and scraped my headlight. The guy in the Vue somehow wasnt hurt, and has insurance. The X3 is in the shop now, they are re-painting the hood, front bumper, and I had to send the headlights to Umintza to get the Angel Eyes re-glued on. I guess it could have been much worse!!

Did you ever find out why the Saturn came "flipping across the intersection"? Sounds like quite an interesting experience!

he claims that someone cut him off and he had to swerve to get out of the way which caused him to hit the center divider and loose control- no one saw that part, all I saw was him flipping coming at me!!!

Scary stuff! Glad to hear nothing happened to you and that the damage to your X3 was relatively minor. Keep us posted.

Quick thinking & presence of mind to throw it in reverse, glad you made it out with a minor scrape there!
