DRIVER DOOR SPEAKER NOT WORKING!

Could it be a loos wire or something cause if the speaker blew would still make noise and sound like its rattling. Is there a wire I could check under the center console where i was trying to hook up a dice module for the ipod?

I'm no electrician or technical expert, but the same thing happened to me a couple years ago on the passenger side. The cost of diagnosis pretty much was as much as replacing the speaker itself, so I went ahead and replaced the front speakers with the cheapest Alpine speakers that were on clearance and would fit the shallow specs. I think it was the SPS-400.

Now the sound quality is much better and it wasn't even that expensive ($50 speakers + $100 labour). The OEM speakers are really cheap and the sound quality is muddy to say the least.
