Vibrating X3 Under load

We have a 2007 X3, stick shift, that vibrates while under load, going up hill.
The vibration started around 30,000 miles. Before that it was smooth.
The dealership changed parts on the drivetrain, but since they couldn't fix it, they now claim that it is NORMAL. It is Normal for a driving machine like BMW to vibrate, while going up hill. I want to see that in writing.

do you get the vibration through the pedal and footwell? also did the dealer change the flex disc(universal joint)? iv got the those symptoms and it seems to point to be that part iv mentioned on a lot of threads! there are probably one or two people that had that changed and didnt make a difference but i'd say 90% of the people iv spoke to have said that it sorted out the vibration... iv not changed mine yet..

The flexible disc you referred to is the GYBO, which was replaced, but the vibration came back after 7,000 miles. They don't want to replace it again.
The factory rep claims that it is "NORMAL", to vibrate like that. Right!!!

oh, sorry about that.. on bmw realoem.com its called universial joint, people refer to it as guilbo, flex disc or universal joint....if the vibrating went aftet they changed the guilbo but has now come back perhaps its a fault with that actual part..or was it changed at the same time as other parts? if so then i guess it will be hard to narrow it down to what could be causing it!

it's really annoying this vibration issue

They were very good about changing only one thing at a time, so I would say that the guilbo was the fix, or the driveshaft was out of balance causing the second guilbo to fail.

just tell them to replace it again if it fixed first time round... say to them that must be an issue with the part...
